I am very excited to see where this opportunity will take me and what I will be learning about in the upcoming months! As I learn more about WordPress, I will definitely be remodeling my website. Be on the lookout for more changes to come!
I have recently spent a couple of hours rethinking and remolding my new website. I have continuously applied for jobs, and I want to use this website as an element of my knowledge in my field of study. With this website, I hope to show a future employer my skills with not only blogging, but also my full understanding in the Adobe Creative Suite. Be on the lookout for more to come!
In May 2018, I graduated from St. Cloud State University with Summa Cum Laude. I received a B.S. in Mass Communications emphasizing in Advertising and a minor in Graphic Design. I am now currently working as a server at Crave. I have been exploring my career aspirations by looking for jobs on Indeed and LinkedIn, but I have not come across a job offer yet. I’m excited to see what’s next!
Last semester I helped a former professor, from St. Cloud State University, build a website. I helped him with content editing and website structuring, while also teaching him how to use WordPress. He had never used WordPress before, so I taught him some of the things I learned in class and on my own time. After creating his website, I helped him promote it over LinkedIn and Facebook.
His website is about Criminology-Theology Connection. Make sure to check it out!
Today in class I created a rough draft of an event poster. We had to pick an event that is going on at the Walker Art Center. I picked the event “Cultures in the Park.” Here is a rough draft of what I have so far. I am going to play around with the title and put it more towards the side of the poster.
Today at my internship I’ve been working on a tri-fold brochure for Fred’s Heating & AC. They provided a sample of a brochure that they wanted to mimic. It is not completed yet; I am planning on adding a message from the owner in the red box and applying a white gradient at the bottom of the box. Here is what it looks like so far:
Today in class we had to pick a character from a movie who we liked. I picked Edward Cullen from the Twilight series. After we picked the image we had to create a typography mask. We had to lay text over the face, so that the end product would just be text. We had 2 hours to do so. This is what I came up with.
Hello everyone- I am undergoing a website change! This website was initially used as a class project, but I will now be using it as my online portfolio. I will be blogging about how my internship is going, while also posting the projects that I have completed. Can’t wait to start creating this website.
