This week my boss asked me to create a “cartoon style” flyer for a new website service that we will be providing. We will be offering clients the option to rent-to-own their website. I have designed a template for the pricing breakdown of this service. Here is what I have so far!
Over the last 8 weeks I have been working with our client, Caribbean Smokehouse, on creating and running their social media campaigns. They want their Facebook page to post daily, so I write and schedule multiple posts in advance. I work on their email campaigns using MailChimp. Another project I have been working on is Birch Lake Dental’s Facebook account. When balancing similar projects for different clients, I always work to adjust my writing style to fit the voice of their brand.
Today I created a couple of banners for Rumpca Services:
I also created a promotional coupon for Caribbean Smokehouse for birthday’s:
Today I made a few more graphics for Caribbean Smokehouse! I made one for New Year’s, a dish feature, and a staff feature. We create social media posts daily for Caribbean Smokehouse. It’s always fun to brainstorm new ideas!
Today I gave my website, portfolio, & resume a facelift. I have now been working as a web & graphic designer at Portkey SEO Solutions for 5 months. I’ve had the pleasure to work with a diverse set of clients, such as a dental clinic in St. Paul, MN and a rental company in London, UK. My job projects vary day-to-day. So far, I’ve learned how to build websites from scratch, how to optimize websites pertaining to a keyword, and how to external link. I am really going to try to start blogging more, along with frequently adding to my portfolio! Stay tuned!
Today I finished the website for Echelon Surgical Specialists! It changed a lot from when I first started working on it. Next time, I will make sure to attach before and after pictures.
I also designed a couple logo samples for St. Croix Tenders today. You can see how the design started and how it progressed:
I have just completed my first week as a Web & Graphic Designer at Portkey SEO! I have been working on two websites this week. I have been working on a website for Caribbean Smokehouse and a website for Echelon Surgical Specialists. While they still have a lot of work to go, I have been learning a ton. I have been learning how to use different widgets/plugins, editors, and how to build a website working with different themes. I have been using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator while creating the banners for the plastic surgeon site. This is a rough draft of what I have for the first slider:
This week has brought some great news! I will not only be starting as a digital marketing Intern for Portkey SEO Solutions in Minneapolis. As a digital marketing intern I will have the opportunity to learn more about:
I am very excited to see where this opportunity will take me and what I will be learning about in the upcoming months! As I learn more about WordPress, I will definitely be remodeling my website. Be on the lookout for more changes to come!
Just an update:
I have recently spent a couple of hours rethinking and remolding my new website. I have continuously applied for jobs, and I want to use this website as an element of my knowledge in my field of study. With this website, I hope to show a future employer my skills with not only blogging, but also my full understanding in the Adobe Creative Suite. Be on the lookout for more to come!
